The site spanned some acreage, so I chose an isometric view to capture as much of the event as possible. I did my best to maintain artistic continuity with the poster.

Goals and challenges

With less than two months to deliver, I created an illustrative image of the new Light Rail and Lynnwood surroundings. Approval required input from both the Chamber of Commerce and SNOTRAC, so I was navigating multiple stakeholders. I was given loose, playful inspiration to work from, which I translated into celebratory, approachable imagery that felt fun and engaging.

Creative process

After SNOTRAC shared the inspo and vibe they were hoping to create for the event I began my concept process. Attempting to highlight the community in some images and the light rail in others. Experimenting with a playful/childlike style and some midcentury travel perspectives. Eventually landing on fun, hand-drawn, imagery.
