Goals and challenges
We had less than two months to develop the brand and the launch materials. With years of experience in public service, I understood the bureaucracy involved and moved quickly to help them get ahead of deadlines.
The inspiration was “Seattle World’s Fair.” I pulled references from my grandfather’s original World’s Fair program and loved the duotone printing treatment. As a Seattle native, I wanted the poster to feel nostalgic and local, blending this duotone energy with the gritty textures of grunge era concert posters and the ever present seagulls along the waterfront.
